Summer Trunk Show: Downtown Racine Corporation’s 2012 Public Art Event

This year’s public art event from the Downtown Racine Corporation was announced last week and I’ve already submitted my design even though it isn’t due until March 13th. The pieces this year are trunks, last year I made the flower pot in this post. I am definitely not going to create another mosaic – instead, I will be painting again like I did in the 2010 Hour Town event.

Below is the artist pack picture of the blank trunk  and the second picture is of a peacock that I want to paint across the trunk.  I want it on a black background and the tail to wrap along the right side of the trunk.

I received the all-white trunk ready to be painted. Napoleon for size:
