I spent the final week of June getting ready for the Fourth of July sales.
This post is about everything I ordered from American Eagle. I also ordered from Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch and Loft.
I had to jump on the sales over the fourth because I had stopped shopping for over a month before I went on vacation. I didn’t want any rogue packages showing up on my doorstep while I was away!
I took my time shopping all spring to pick out my vacation outfits, but I never looked for anything for the summer! To combat that, I scoured the American Eagle website for some cute items that can be mixed and matched or were a set itself. Here’s what I tried on!

I ordered this in a medium and it is true to size. I love the look of the eyelet material and the color peach is great for summer (and peach season!).
On The Court Mini Skort

I love the pink and white gingham! I cannot get enough of it. I am wearing the skort paired with the blouse which is also listed below. They are super cute together as a matching set.
Low-Rise Denim Tomgirl Shorts

I ordered these shorts in a size 8. They fit fairly true to size. I would say that they are a little big on me, but the drawstring helps tighten them up.
Garden Party Wrap Dress

This is the best dress I’ve found for the summer. This one is a great color – it isn’t quite yellow, but it’s not a tan either. It’s like a sun-kissed off-white. Do you know what color this is? Haha, I ordered it in a medium and I love the cinched waist. The upper part isn’t tight on the chest and there is a tie on the upper back.

I ordered this in a medium and it is true to size. I didn’t like how low cut the front of it is. I felt like it exposed a little too much for me. It has cute peasant style sleeve and I love the pink and white gingham pattern. I purchased this one first before I went all out on ordering all the gingham items at Nordstrom.

I ordered a medium, but the blouse is smaller than expected. I would size up, but I thought the crop was a little too short. It’s difficult to tell how cropped some of the shirts are on their website. This is definitely more of an up-to-the-ribs crop top. It ties in the back, which is super cute.

I ordered a medium and this shirt is true to size. I didn’t mind the cinched waist, but the fabric on the chest made it appear larger.
Pearl Button Babydoll Tank Top

This tank top is actually really cute, but I didn’t like how much flare there was when I tried it on. I wish I would’ve kept it, but I can see if it’s still available. The pearl buttons are a nice touch and they lace detail is cute. I ordered a size medium and it is true to size.
Square Neck Button-Up Cami

I ordered this in a medium and it is true to size, but I am definitely too large in the chest to wear this. I love the pink and white gingham style, but I didn’t not like the button up part. It was too short on my torso even pairing it with high-waisted jean shorts.
